Student Neel Menon chose the medium of film for his Services As Action project in 2020. The project that he did was a short documentary film called “Girls Should Stay At Home”. This film was subsequently entered into a number of Children’s film festivals around the world, has garnered rave reviews and won multiple awards. The latest of which was the San Diego Children’s Film Festival a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately, the fact that the world was struck by the pandemic took some sheen off these awards as all of them had to be converted to online events. However, Neel has been inspired by the recognition the film has got so far and has channeled all of the locked down energy into scripting and developing new films.
