Vedika Amin, from grade 5, represented Maharashtra State in her first Indian Swimming Nationals 2016 held in Bangalore in the first week of July 2016.
Vedika managed to break 4 Nationals records; two Individual records in the 100 meters and 50 meters Breast stroke events and also won a Bronze in the 100 meters Backstroke event. She swam the anchor leg for both the freestyle and the Individual medley relay events for Maharashtra breaking the Nationals records in both the relays comprehensively. She was honored with the Best Individual swimmer trophy for girls under 12 years and based on her points she helped Maharashtra State win the 2016 Nationals Swimming trophy for girls.
