![]() In June this summer, I visited Erasmus University, Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. I was very lucky to be given a campus tour by a student studying Psychology, which is the course I would like to pursue. This way I was able to not only ask her general questions about the university, but also the course specifically, which was very helpful. The first thing I noticed was how international the student body was, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Although not a very large campus, it has all the facilities you would require, including sports facilities, massive libraries, a cafeteria with a wide range of cuisines, a Starbucks cafe, stationary and food shops, a hair salon, and even a bicycle repair store on campus (which is much needed in Holland). There are also many outdoor areas where you can sit and chat with friends, have a picnic, or study when the weather is good. For me personally, the campus was the perfect size, not having too many students, nor too few. The city itself is also very pretty, with lots to do, and a large youth population, unlike many other European cities. All in all, the university seemed like a great, friendly environment to be in, and I would highly recommend anyone interested in European universities to check it out! -Nikki Singh (class of 2020)
