On the 10th, 11th, and 12th of November, OGC Primary school will have virtual Parent-Teacher meetings with the Single Subject teachers.
Schedule for Single Subject Teacher Conferences:
November 10th, 14:10-16:00
November 11th, 8:00-16:00
November 12th, 8:00-16:00
During these meetings, parents will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s individual learning and progress, with or without your child present. Please note that there will be no single subject classes on the 11th and 12th of November.
Meeting sign ups will be on a first come, first served basis. The system will open on Monday, October 25th at 8:00 AM and will close on Wednesday, November 10th at 8:00 AM. You will not be able to sign up for PTMs after this date.
Please us this link to login to your account http://oisogc.schoolcloud.co.uk/. Make sure that you make appointments with all your children’s teachers on a timeline that allows you to take a break between sessions.
This is the same system that we use for our homeroom teacher meetings in September, so there should be familiarity with the system. However, if you need any technical assistance please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, the last time we used this system there were some issues with parents joining from different locations which resulted in calls being dropped. It seems that this was caused by unique IDs being shared between parents. To avoid this, please use the “add parent/guardian” function in the system instead of directly sharing meeting links. For further information, please read this article: https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/801-video-parents-how-to-attend-appointments-over-video-call
We look forward to meaningful and purposeful discussions about your child’s progress and achievement during this term.

The goal of reading is not to read with 100 percent accuracy, but using strategies that support learning to read, reading to learn and conversing about texts.
This cafe conversation about Reading is aimed at engaging parents in the why, how and what of reading in the primary section (Grades One to Five). Parents and our Coaches, Amrita Jaisingh and Ketaki Kapoor, will delve into small group reading, called Guided Reading and learn how this approach of reading supports students to develop a strong repertoire of reading strategies to make them successful readers. We will end this session with some tips for reading at home with your child(ren).
