![]() Dear Parents, This year our Physical Education department would like to invite you for a series of interclass events related sport activities. These events are a result of authentic integration with our units of inquiry in the classroom and stand alone PE units. This will take a different form than the field day we have had in the past. You will be invited for a series of sessions that will be scheduled throughout the year. Tentative dates and events for specific grades will be posted on the class blogs. This will provide students with a platform to showcase their skills and techniques in a challenging yet enjoyable way. We look forward to seeing you on these occasions as you cheer for and support the students. Regards, Veena D’Silva Deputy Head of Primary Dear Parents
As we consolidate the processes we have to communicate to parents, including how we report student progress to our parent community, the school has been looking at a number of data bases which can effectively and efficiently make happen what we want to have happen. To this end we will be moving our reporting to a new system called Managebac. This will mean that parents will need to know how to access this interface. Our IT Department will be in contact with you soon to detail the parent information sessions they will be running in December to introduce this platform to you. The introduction of Managebac brings our systems in the primary division in line with those already introduced in secondary and at our JVLR campus. Kind regards Tony Reminder:

Teachers Teaching Teachers
On Friday (November 16) our teachers will be involved in an inservice programme where our teachers across the school will be leading and facilitating workshops for our staff in what we call "Teachers Teaching Teachers". 70 workshops ranging from coding, to differentiation, from use of humour in the classroom, to making our learning visible will be offered. A wellness and wellbeing strand runs though the day with workshops in water aerobics, rock climbing, yoga in all its forms, meditation and self defence being only some that are on offer. I am sure Friday will prove to be a day of learning for us all. ![]() Cafè Conversation Building a Love of Reading with Your Child We will have three sessions with this as our focus over the months of November and December which will focus on developing children into joyful, lifelong readers.
