Dear Parents
What a rollercoaster this week has been! My pedagogical leadership team and our faculty, spent the first part of the week preparing for and organising for the children in Grades 1-5 to rejoin in-school-classes. Understandably we were very excited about having children back in our primary division and that then we got the news! Like you all, I am sure, we were devastated that once again the reopening for primary has been postponed. However, I can assure you that we are ready with our re-entry plans and that we will continue to provide the very best learning experiences for your children in the online environment. On Tuesday Mr Pradeesh and Mr Sidney ran a great session for parents discussing how we are using different technologies to support children in their learning journey. They covered how learning engagements are enhanced through the use of technologies, new features we are using and the aspects of augmented reality that are integrated into the units of inquiry. Although the parent turn out was disappointingly low, those who did attend will now have a better understanding of the role of technology in their child’s learning. We are planning our semester two programme now, please give your input on what you would like included by completing this survey. Regards, Tony
