Primary Single Subject Teacher Parent Teacher Meetings. November 10th and 11th.

Dear Parents,

On the 10th and 11th of November from 8:00-16:00,  OGC Primary school will have virtual Parent-Teacher meetings with the Single Subject teachers.

During these meetings, parents will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s individual learning and progress, with or without your child present. Please note that there will be no single subject classes on the 10th and 11th November. 

Meeting sign ups will be on a first come, first served basis. The sign up sheet will open on Monday November 2nd at 9:00 AM and will close on Friday November 6th at 12:00 PM. You will not be able to sign up for a PTM for the 10th and 11th November, after this date.

We have subscribed to SchoolCloud to provide you with what we hope to be the simplest and most efficient appointment booking system and Parent Teacher Meeting service. This platform will give you the opportunity to indicate your availability for meetings during a particular time window, indicate which teachers you are wishing to meet for your child or indeed multiple children and it will then generate a timetable of meetings for you with the teachers and it will also provide a secure video call facility all through the one website.

Please make careful note of your meetings times and attend promptly, the meeting will automatically be disconnected after the allotted meeting time. For more information on the system and how to attend appointments over video call, please review this article.

You can leave a message for teachers when you book your meeting. If you have any special requests or questions you would like to focus on for the meeting please add a comment with your booking. If you intend to bring your child to conferences please let the teachers know in advance. 

On conference day, please log into your account so that you are not prompted to login for each call. On School Cloud, you will only be able to use one device, so you cannot join a call from multiple locations or devices. Please ensure that you enable the microphone and camera for the system or you will have technical issues during your conferences.

You can do this immediately or you can wait until you wish to sign up for conferences on Monday.

Appointment Booking Window

The window for setting up appointments will open on Monday November 2nd at 9:00 AM and close on Friday November 6th at 12:00 PM. After the sign up session has closed, there will be no further sign ups for this PTM. However, if you cannot attend these dates, you miss the sign ups or there are no slots available when you access the system, you can contact the teacher directly to make a meeting at a later date. A final reminder email will be sent to parents who have not booked conferences on Wednesday, November 4th.

Non-attendance/ technical issues on the day

​If you are unable to attend your meeting after you have signed up, or you have a technical problem on the day, please contact the teacher(s) to let them know. You can always reschedule a meeting at a later date. Additionally, OIS Tech Help Desk will be available to support you if you have any questions or problems with the system on the day of conferences.
