Semester One Reports

At OIS we believe that assessment is integral to teaching and learning and that assessment is best made when we collect information on students from a variety of sources over time. We believe in the home, school partnership and that communicating to parents on the progress of their child is integral to this partnership. At OIS we do this in a variety of ways; through informal conferencing with our parents, 3-Way conferencing, Student-Led conferencing, Grade 5 Exhibition, written summaries of the semester, and through the online portfolios you access through the SeeSaw blog.
This written report is only one way in which we report to you and is an overview of this semester’s progress. Much time and thought has been put into reporting on your child’s progress and achievement. 

I hope you will take the time to sit down with your son or daughter and discuss their report with them; it is your interest in their progress which helps to set the tone for future learning.  Our teachers are available to meet and talk with you regarding your child's progress at anytime throughout the year, you need only to make an appointment via the teacher's email or by ringing the primary division secretaries, to organise a meeting.

Semester One Reports will available online for parents from 15:00 on
Wednesday January 17, 2018. Access to the reports will be via a link which will be sent from the school on Wednesday.
