What did you learn about your child today?


So much about his strengths and weaknesses and future goals

Creative thinking and self reflection at school

The different ways in which she is learning reading, writing,problem solving, etc

Generally pretty clued on to what my son does but what was new for me was that he acts as a peer helper 😊. This is good to know.

We learnt about some strategies and reflections that he had worked on and some of the choices he made caught our eye. For instance his choice of autobiography based on the hardships of the central character, and his choice to make friends with people he doesn’t know.

He is an obidient and deciplined and independent child . He needs to improvise on certain areas with constant practice

HE SPEAKS TO THE POINT BUT HE MAKES THE TALK TOO LONG,AND HE SOES NOT LIKE PEOPLE TO HALF UNDERSTAND THE TASK.

She doesn’t open up easily in large groups

He’s settled down well into grade 4, established a good rapport with his teachers and is learning a lot.

It was great to see ... learn so much. Just need for her to be less shy.

Didn’t learn new but the areas he is good and no so good at were reconfirmed 

she has become more interactive and taking lot of interest in reading

She is comfortable with all teachers and openly communicates with them. She is a keen listener during story time. She is caring but sensitive and thoughtful. However she is bothered by little things from her friends for which she should be counselled.

She is a happy child at school, aware of her areas of development and confident in many ways. She has goals set in the areas of time management, literacy (leverage transition words increasingly), learn times tables up to 20 to enhance her speed in math and better her research skills by exploring a topic every Monday and sharing learning when appropriate.

She likes reading, she likes taking ownership. Likes to take the lead on projects and help others.

About her progress in the new grade

He is energetic and intelligent but needs to focus 

... has always been a warm, friendly child and it was very nice to see him bring joy to everyone around him at school. We are glad that he has settled in well.
