Dear Parents and Families,
How timely, that my last weeks post was titled, Back Online and this week, I can, at last say, Back in the Building.
The most exciting thing to witness was the Early Years set foot in the building. For some of them this will be their first time physically in school.
The first few weeks of school will be spent orientating themselves around the school, getting reacquainted with their friends and learning how to be safe and follow, Mask, Sanitise and Social Distancing protocols.
The teachers have also done a great job of planning ahead for the next few weeks as an over view and focussed on Social and emotional learning, which includes areas like physical and mental health.
Please check emails and the weekly outline for updates. We have staggered our entry and exit times for now, until the buses return. For now parents, please check: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zidikcXaQqZ4j1PeC4bSXWtmjz8PwaJDeheGoLBcAd4/edit#gid=1725876749 to add any questions you may have about reopening. I am trying my best to respond to these questions on a daily basis.
Thank you for your support, positivity and patience,
Ms Lisa Hughes
Happy New Year to you all!!
I hope you are keeping safe and well as we embark on yet another year of Learning From Home. Thank you for your continued support of your young learners. As we are all working from home, we are very much learning to adapt to a different way of life and for our youngest learners, how they have learnt to listen through a screen to teachers they have not met yet is incredible.
Sometimes, being at home can lead to fun discoveries, I was sitting on my balcony today, when I had a rather large, uninvited visitor, who stayed with me for a while, until it flapped its wings and I got a little scared. Perhaps you can show the image to your child and ask them what it might be.
Our team of teachers are always there for you but we do have scheduled Virtual Care Calls from 17th -28th January, be sure to sign up for a time, if you wish to discuss anything about your child in more detail.
I am not sure if most of you know but I do get to spend my time popping into classes, I am very fortunate to see our youngest learners and how they engage in remote learning. Today, I enjoyed a building session with Nursery!
