Thank you to everyone for great end of year celebrations. Thank you to the PTA for a very special winter carnival. Thank you to the teachers who care for the children and encourage the best in learning. Thank you to the staff who help the school to run smoothly. Thank you parents for supporting us and your children every day. And thank you children for being who you are. Enjoy the holiday and see everyone in the New Year! ~Kristen Blum, PYP Coordinator. Dear Parents, Friends and Families,
Well done to everyone for completing the first semester at OIS JVLR. I am sure everyone is exhausted and that we are all in need in of a break. Just a reminder that the last day of school will be Thursday 21st December. Grades 1 - 4 recently enjoyed a well-planned Sports morning at OGC, thanks to the support of PE department from both campuses. Our Early Years students also enjoyed their own Sports Morning at JVLR and I did hear that some of our parents were supporting their children whilst watching the live feed. In the future, we would like for our parents to come into school and cheer their children on for such events, this will be taken into account next year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and families for your ongoing flexibility with the opening of JVLR and for your continued support of the programme, the children and the teachers. We are making changes and developing new ideas with support from our parents ad we look forward to an exciting Semester 2. Flexibility has been the key concept to develop at our school and I want to really thank the parents who have been extremely flexible and open-minded. I would also like to say a thank you to our PTA who have helped with some events this year and helped to organise the end of year celebration for the children. Also a thank you to the Room Parents in Nursery, who have been very helpful for all sorts of reasons in Nursery. On Thursday 21st December, Elementary Reports will be made available on Managebac for parents. Parents should have received instructions how to access the reports. If for some reason, you are unable to access your child's report, please email it_jvlr@oberoi-is.org. Parents are advised to download reports and save their own copy. If you wish to make an appointment to discuss the report with your child's teacher, please do so after the break. In January, we plan to celebrate and educate all stakeholders with the love of reading, how we do it in school and how we can help at home. Happy Winter break! Lisa Hughes Head of Primary @ JVLR Dear Parents, Friends and Families, As we approach the final few weeks of school, we have some dates for your diaries.
