Dear Parents and Families, It was so interesting today during Lunch Lounge, that we had some of our Grade 1 and 2 classes join us in their class on the big screen. Students spent some time joining in a fun online quiz and guessing what the answers might be. I have to mention how proud I am of all the students for following COVID school protocol. Students have been masking, sanitizing and trying their very hardest to socially distance. In the classes we have organised seating plans, where students are able to identify their 'bubbles' and close contacts. We do have daily play but we are mindful of the time we spend interacting with one another, so we have a 1 class, 15 minutes, 1 space daily play opportunity. After the break, we will revise break and play times for the students.
From next week, if a case is reported in school, only close contacts from Grades 1-5 will be sent home. For Early years, if there is a positive case in school, the whole class will be sent home. We are hoping that we do not have to send any children home at all! We are still mandated to offer the Learning From Home Programme (LFH), I made clear in last weeks blog post who our LFH programme is for and who it is not for. Next week, as the numbers decrease online again, we will share exact details of what is expected for LFH for different grades. Have a great weekend!! Ms Lisa
