Learning and Teaching @ JVLR

Dear Parents, Friends and Families,
​As we approach the final few weeks of school, we have some dates for your diaries.

• Monday 11th December:  Grades 3 and 4 attending the Panto at OGC.
• Thursday 14th December:  Grades 1-4 Sports Morning at OGC.  Early Years Sports Morning @ JVLR.
• Wednesday 20th December:  Reports will be available on Managebac.  Parents make sure you have access to Managebac.
• Thursday 21st December:  Last day of semester 1.

Many events and initiatives have taken place already this semester.  Some of which are mentioned below:

• Students are going on many more field trips
• Students are enjoying more equipment in their classes
• Teachers have participated in PD organised by the school
• Hour of Code has been live streamed
• The launch and continuing improvement of Seesaw
• Training of Managebac for parents
• Involvement of the PTA
• First sports morning for students @ OGC and JVLR
• Cross collaborative planning between both campuses
• Celebration of Children's Day, Diwali, Festival of Choirs
• Nursery becoming more independent, eating snack outside their class rooms, swimming lessons and playing in the sandpit

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff, students and parents for their flexibility and support during the first semester @ JVLR.  We are launching an extended day for our JKG students after the break.
