What does the word 'bullying' mean?

Dear Parents,

Over the past few weeks I have had a very small number of emails from parents sharing their concern that their child is a victim of bullying.  I have also heard some of our students calling other students a 'bully.'  According to our Child Safeguarding Policy, the definition we use of bullying may differ from how some of our parents or students are interpreting the word.  Please read below our school definition of bullying and if you can find a few minutes to talk this through with your child that would strengthen the very definition.

Please know that we have a zero tolerance approach when it comes to students demonstrating a behaviour that is not in line with our school values.
