Making MYP visible at OIS - JVLR

A warm welcome to our 2020/2021 academic year, to our returning students and families  and to all those who are new. We begin this  year as a fully authorised IB MYP school after  a very successful Virtual Verification Visit  from IB. 

This Middle School blog allows you to see  ‘snapshots’ of learning happening in the  subject areas, albeit through online learning until such time as we are all back in our building.  In addition, there will be posts  sharing information (power points etc.) after  each of the Parent workshops.   This week we welcomed our new secondary  parents to an online session: Introduction to  MYP. This was an opportunity for all parents  Who joined to familiarize themselves with the IB MYP framework as well as an introduction  to how MYP at OIS – JVLR works. Please note these parent session dates in your diary:

Thursday 24th Sept, 8.00 – 9.00 am: Introduction to MYP Assessment (for Parents of Grade 6 and any other new parents with students in Grades 7 & 8)

Tuesday 29th Sept, 8.00 – 9.00am: Introduction to MYP Assessment (for Parents of  students in Grades 9 & 10)

Friday 9th October, 8.00 – 9.00am: Parenting in the online school environment (For all Grades and all parents)
